Introducing possibly the world's first Babymo!!!
What do you call a lamb who is a cross between a Babydoll and a Cormo? A Cordoll or a Babymo? A BABYMO!!! Why? Because it's fun to say & it makes me laugh! Try it. Just say ,"Babymo." Can't do it without a smile!
Last fall I did not own a Cormo ram so I decided to allow my Babydoll ram, Sherlock, to breed with my Cormo ewes. Being a naturally curious person who enjoys pondering all sorts of what ifs, this was the perfect opportunity to get some of my questions answered. What if you cross a Cormo with a Babydoll? What would the lambs look like? What would the wool be like? How big would they get? |
On April 5, 2020, Trudy the Cormo gave birth to two Babymo lambs, a ewe and a ram. The ram we named Moses. (Get it? Moses? Moe? A Baby-Moe. . .hehe.) The ewe we named Cora. For unknown reasons, Trudy decided to reject Cora, so we had to separate her from her mom and bottle feed her. Don't worry. Cora is now a well adjusted lamb. Alexandra let her hang out with her twin ewes.
When Cora was a little lamb, she was really good at getting her nose dirty.
