Introducing Merlin!

The big reveal! I had wanted a Valais Blacknose sheep for quite some time, but I had never taken the step to purchase one. They are adorable and their wool is amazing. Merlin is 75% Valais Blacknose and 25% Teeswater. This means his wool is very soft with beautiful ringlets! 

For Mother's Day this last May, my daughters worked together and surprised me with a new little member to our farm. This is Merlin. He is Lyon Acres' first Valais Blacknose sheep! He was born on March 1st, and soon he will be our largest animal on the farm! He is quite the character. He is very friendly, and he is not afraid to tell you when he wants something, whether it be some grain, pets, or fresh water.
